The Purpose Of This Journey

Datavore is a creature made to preserve.
It was created to archive every piece of life—plant, animal, human—believing that by collecting all data, it could one day restore what the world has lost.But here’s the tragedy:
To preserve data, Datavore must consume it.
And so, it walks a lonely path, torn between its purpose and its empathy.
It observes, it documents, it hesitates. It hungers.
It learns what it means to feel, one bug at a time.Datavore is more than a mascot.
It’s a part of me.
The curious side, always watching, trying to make sense of a broken world.
Trying to understand people, without hurting them.
Trying to restore beauty, even after it’s been lost.My art is for people who’ve felt like glitches.
For those who’ve felt out of sync.
For those who are scared of losing memories, or afraid of never being understood.I want to create worlds where softness survives.
Where emotion is archived, honored—even if it's messy.

Terms Of Service

Terms of ServiceLast updated: May 22 2025These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to all commissions, purchases, and interactions with The Datavore ("I", "me", "my"). By placing an order, commissioning work, or purchasing from me in person or online, you ("Client", "Customer", or "you") agree to these Terms.1. Scope of ApplicationThese Terms apply to:>Custom art commissions
>Sales through online shops and platforms
>Sales at in-person events (e.g., conventions)
>Private and commercial customers
2. Copyright & Usage RightsI retain full copyright and moral rights to all works I create, in accordance with German copyright law (UrhG).
You do not acquire ownership of the copyright. You may receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the work, but only if explicitly agreed upon in writing.
You may not reproduce, alter, distribute, resell, or use my artwork commercially without prior written permission.
All commissioned works and sold products may be used by me for promotional purposes (e.g., portfolios, social media, exhibitions), unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Commissions (Custom Artwork)3.1 Process
Commissions are accepted at my discretion and subject to availability.
Clear references and instructions must be provided before I begin working.
Major changes requested after work has begun may result in additional charges.
3.2 Pricing & Payment
All prices are in Euro (€) and are exempt from VAT under the German small business regulation (§ 19 UStG), unless otherwise stated.
Payment must be made upfront, unless a different agreement is made in writing.
Accepted payment methods include: PayPal, Ko-Fi, in-person cash payments
3.3 Cancellations
If you cancel after I’ve started the commission, a partial or full fee may be retained based on how much work has been completed.
There is no right of withdrawal for commissioned/custom work under § 312g (2)(1) BGB (exceptions to distance selling law).
4. Products (Physical or Digital)4.1 Shipping & Delivery
Products are shipped within Germany and internationally upon request.
I am not liable for delays or damages caused by third-party shipping providers.
Digital files are delivered via email or download link.
4.2 Right of Withdrawal (for ready-made products only)
For non-custom, physical products, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal under German consumer protection law (§ 355 BGB).
You must notify me in writing (email is sufficient) if you wish to withdraw.
Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the item is defective.
5. LiabilityI am only liable for intent and gross negligence.
I am not liable for indirect damages, data loss, or misuse of my artwork by third parties.
6. Data ProtectionI only collect data necessary to process orders or commissions.
Your data will not be shared with third parties unless required by law or necessary for fulfilling the contract.7. Governing Law & JurisdictionThese Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Place of jurisdiction is Recklinghausen, unless another is mandated by law.
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

When it all went down, the only one I could think of was you — how I wanted to escape into your warm hug, to run away before the world screws me over like it always does.How can you be so kind, Hayasaka? Even when I haven't said much, you were able to tell I wasn't feeling well. Without any sort of preamble, your body welcomes me into a hug, filling me with so much warmth and adoration that I almost forgot what I was so upset about in the first place.Everything seems to sail smoothly when I'm with you. It had always been hard for me to articulate my feelings, and yet I do it unconsciously when I'm with you. It's as if you're the embodiment of the perfect home for me, with how I always find myself feeling at ease when I'm with you. At this point, how can I thank you enough?Thank you for everything, Hayasaka. I'm sorry if anything I've done had made you uncomfortable at all. While it isn't much, I hope this Carrd was able to make you smile, as it suits you a lot.
